Functional vs. Technical:

A Functional consultant provides guidance on the standard functionality and customization options available and which are best suited for your business goals. They listen to your business requirements to design the most seemless configuration taylored to meet your needs. They perform this configuration through the forms in the application and they act as a communication channel between your business experts and the techincal resources. Anything requiring direct access to the database tables or programming is best left to the technical experts in cooperation with the functional consultant's specifications.
